Great salespeople are like magicians
The GREAT Salespeople are magicians with time, knowing how to manage time and opportunity.
Grant Cardone has often said that success is no different than any other skill. If you duplicate the successful mindsets and actions of the successful, you to can create success for yourself.
When you think about the GREATS that you know (in any field) what are the common traits? It may be very easy to write it off as magic or talent, but you will find as you dig a little deeper that what gets credited as magic and talent is usually just practice. More practice than anyone else.
To appear like a magician, Grant has these…
Tips to be a great salesperson:
- Learn how to maximize time
- Learn how to maximize opportunity
- Don’t waste time on trivial things
- Get more done than other people do
- Master resolving conflict especially under impossible situations
- Master negotiating
- Master the skill of winning over the unwinnable
This is what the GREATS do to look like magicians. They become completely skilled in the craft of communication, convincing, negotiating and problem solving.
GREAT salespeople don’t even look like salespeople.
GREAT salespeople look magical and like something special so when they walk in a room people know somebody just walked in…
You can’t do this without practice and training. You have to train everyday at maximizing every opportunity, learning how to resolve even the worst of conflicts and making sure you can make the most of every minute of everyday. The level of skill that the greats possess comes through intense training, practice and preparation.
Tips to be a great salesperson:
- Make sure you dedicate 10 – 15 minutes every morning and afternoon to get and keep yourself motivated and skilled up
- Set aside time each day to practice, drill and rehearse
- Learn from every client engagement. What worked? What didn’t? Where did you succeed and where did you slip?
Regardless of your skill level or experience, these are the actions of the successful. If you duplicate them, you too succeed. There are a myriad of ways to accomplish this but these tips are the exact reason Cardone University was created. Grant built this program to be a one stop shop for motivation, skill, practice and debrief. If you’re not using it now, you may be missing opportunity but only you can make that decision.
