Real Estate Sales Training Best Practices

Real Estate Sales Training Best Practices

Talking with Hector Martinez of Era Valley Pro Realty and NAHREP.  We talk about his nonnegotiable best practices for sales training and development in his real estate office.

First we start this interview out by getting to know Hector a little bit more.  Hector talks about his goals, why he got started in real estate and why he decided to open his own office.

From there we get in what exactly NAHREP is.  Why they’re important and what kind of impact NAHREP is having on home ownership in the Hispanic community.

I then get into talking about real estate sales training best practices by asking Hector, “how important is training and development to the over all culture in your office?”  Hector’s answer, while not surprising, is incredibly insightful and full of applicable ideas for any real estate office.

Hector goes into to talking about a very specific and rather simple standard of expectation.  This simple standard can help any new agent transition out from having an employee mindset to that of a more entrepreneurial mindset and attitude.

We also talk about handling buy-in and resistance to training in the organization.  What does it mean when an agent has barriers to self improvement?   How does he handle it and what you can do about it in your office.

Hector and I talk about the power of consistent role-play and how that helps with the culture in the office as well as what it does to create a more professional and positive experience for the customer.
