The most powerful 2 words in sales

Ever wonder if there was a “secret trick” to increasing your sales?  Well there is.  One of the first lessons I learned from Grant was “selling is a conversation, and power comes from the words that you use.”  Words in sales matter.  Big time.  And the “secret trick” is understanding the power of two simple words:

I AGREE”

Here in Grant’s office we have quite literally lost count of how many deals that SHOULD NOT have happened but DID happen because of simply starting the conversation from a place of agreement.

Agreement lets people understand that you empathize and understand their position/feelings.   Agreement almost immediately defuses any conflict.  More importantly, agreement moves you closer to a deal.

Without Agreement, there can be NO Agreement (contract).

This is a sales principle that transcends selling.  This one simple rule will help you in every area of your life.

ALWAYS, ALWAYS, ALWAYS Agree [ch. 9 Sell Or Be Sold]

This is so important, Grant has labeled the concept in Cardone University as The First Rule of Selling.

Some simple ways to agree are here:

  • “I agree”
  • “I understand”
  • “I’m with ya”
  • “I hear ya”

It’s amazing how in even very simple interactions, how important it is for some people to be “right.”  And so what that means is that you need make a choice…  do you want to be “right” or do you want to get a deal???

And there is even a life lesson in here as well that ties in to everything.  If your need to be right is more important than your happiness and your production than your ego may be running the show and not your higher self.

Always, always, always agree is actually a principle, it’s not a tactic or trick. It is a means of opening a dialog and establishing meaningful communication. If you want agreement on something, you must give agreement. Especially in the exchange of ideas, agreement diffuses tension and opens up the possibility of elevated thinking. Empathy and understanding should carry a priority.

This one simple concept could be worth MILLIONS in sales for you.

Grant has put the last 35 years of his career together in a VERY exclusive collection and has released it with an unprecedented offer….

Because to really dial this in, you need to practice it, drill it and rehearse it and you need to test yourself.  Remember, words in sales matter.

ACTION IDEA:  Before getting on the phone or talking to customers, drill the list of four.  If you have a partner, practice responding to objections using agreement first.  You can even use the practice of agreement as a way to warm up before you start your role-play sessions.

  • “I agree”
  • “I understand”
  • “I’m with ya”
  • “I hear ya”

What about the test part?  What would it be worth to you to be able to practice, drill and rehearse agreement with Grant and the sales team in person?  Because right now you can get 12 months of Cardone U and a ticket to Grant’s 3 day business bootcamp for only $1,497.

Why wouldn’t you do this?

Well there’s only one real reason.  And don’t believe me when I tell you what it is.  This isn’t about you believing me.  It’s about you believing you.  This is how it’s been your whole life.  An opportunity presents itself and you make a decision one way or the other.  Based on what?  Commitment.  Your commitment to you, your goals and dreams and the survival of family and legacy.  At $1,497, this isn’t about the money.  If you’re committed, you’ll find the money.  So if you’re thinking you don’t have the money right now, examine your commitment.  What are you committed to now and is it in line with your full potential, your goals, dreams and the solvency of your household.  And once that dials in correctly, the money will show up because you’re level of creativity will always match your level of commitment.
