VISION: The Wednesday Word #WednesdayWisdom
Without this one, your future nor your day will not be as bright as it could be ?.
the faculty or state of being able to see.
the ability to think about or plan the future with imagination or wisdom.
1300, “something seen in the imagination or in the supernatural,” from Anglo-French visioun, Old French vision “presence, sight; view, look, appearance; dream, supernatural sight” (12c.), from Latin visionem (nominative visio) “act of seeing, sight, thing seen,” noun of action from past participle stem of videre “to see,” from PIE root *weid- “to see.” The meaning “sense of sight” is first recorded late 15c. Meaning “statesman-like foresight, political sagacity” is attested from 1926.
What is your 9 year vision and how clear is it? It’s 2029, who, what, where, how, why are you?
There is a tremendous amount of uncertainty right now. There is some legit concern about everybody’s health and safety.
So, being able to come out of this for just a moment and recognize number one, we’re going to get through all of it and then number two, what is your vision now for the future?
Take some time and think about, “Hey, it’s 2029!!!”
What’s going on for you? What is happening in your world in your life in 2029? How old are you? First of all? I don’t care how old you are. When you listen to this. If you’re 95 years old, you are not allowed to say I’m dead. Give yourself nine more years and figure out what that looks like. And how do you want it to be?
How clear can you make this vision?
- Who are you?
- In the year 2029, what kind of person are you?
- Where are you? Where do you live? You still in the same place? You somewhere else you someplace different?
- How are you? Are you happy? Are you in love and are you loving life? How you doing? It’s 2029 How are you?
- Why? Why are you in 2029? How did you get there? Why did you get there?
- What did you do to get there? And how did you arrive?
I want you to get that vision so clear.
Remember, as in the macro, so in the micro.
What’s your vision for today?
I’ll ask you the exact same questions again.
- Who are you?
- What are you?
- Where are you?
- How are you?
- Why are you?
The thing about the vision is it is also another word that ends in vision, as in dee… decision.
Your vision is also a decision that you’re making, which means it’s a commitment and a commitment is going to require what? Time and energy. Money, by the way is included in time and energy. Money is energy.
So think about your vision, think about what 2029 is going to look like for you and then shrink it down and start looking at what are you doing today? What’s your vision for today, because your vision for today is literally going to be the thing that creates your vision of the future.
