The GREAT Salespeople are deaf to those who say

it cannot be done!

They are GREAT listeners but they also know when to be deaf.  The GREAT Salespeople know when to turn off their listeners! Who should you listen to and (equally if not more important) who NOT to listen to. When to listen and when not to.  GREAT Salespeople can literally become DEAF!

On the back of Grant’s NO NEGATIVITY ALLOWED postcards is a poem Grant wrote called “Be Deaf”

GREAT Salespeople are deaf to those who say it cannot be done

They simply do not believe it.  In fact, they become inspired when they hear it!  “Can’t be done” is actually a call to action, a call to arms, a challenge to figure it out!  Just because everyone else has given up doesn’t mean you need to.  The GREATS (not just great salespeople) do things others refuse to do…

It’s always impossible until somebody does it.

And in order to do this, you have be either deaf or crazy…  or a little of both!

#1 – Don’t listen to the naysayers and

#2 – Be crazy enough to prove everyone wrong

Show the world what you can do, what can be done, that you’re the one who can make it happen and that’s what makes you GREAT!

This week, this month, this year and this day – BE GREAT and BE DEAF to those who say it cannot be done!

IN AN ARTICLE ON EZINE, IN 2009, GC WROTE:

The world today is abound in so much negative news it would start to appear to be an organized effort to disseminate bad news in order to drive individuals, even entire populations, into a state of apathy and hopelessness! In a 24 hour period men, women and children are pounded with endless amounts of bad news and those in their environment (friends, family, and associates) give even worse advice about how to handle the bad news. And then these people further disseminate more bad news, even false information and bad news perpetuates more bad news until it reaches epidemic proportions whereby an entire population of “can-do” people “can’t do”!

People go to great lengths to protect themselves from the flu, car accidents and sexually transmitted diseases but nothing to protect themselves from bad news and bad advice! Consider this poem the next time someone who claims they are a friend takes their time to give you bad news and worse advice.

Be DEAF when someone says you cannot do it!
Be DEAF when someone says it is impossible!
Be DEAF when anyone tries to put limits on you!

For these people that make efforts to limit you and suggest that you cannot fulfill your dreams are dangerous people.

These people have given up on their dreams and seek to convince you to do the same.

And do not be confused by these people when they suggest that they are only trying to help you!

For help is not what they offer, as what they really seek to do is have you join the ranks of slaves the apathetic and the hopeless.

Be DEAF to all of them!”
