5 Attitude Commitments to Make Everyday

5 Attitude Commitments to Make Everyday

CHECK YOURSELF: Scale from 1 – 10, where’s your attitude at right now? If it’s not at a 10, what’s it going to take to get you there? Because that customer approaching your business right now, that phone call you’re going make, deserves nothing less than your great attitude. Are you a manager or a leader? Then not only does the customer deserve it, so do your salespeople. Managers, your people deserve the best version of you everyday too.  We all know what rolls down hill, so management, if your head ain’t right, no way your salespeople are going to be.

But look, I get it, I’ve been there. In fact, I was there the other day. Which is why I’m writing this. I had no desire to bring it on this call I had, but I realized that the person on the receiving end, deserved the 110% David not the 45% I was feeling like. So how do you get back up to 110%?  That’s a 65% jump there.

Inside Cardone U and as part of our coaching program we have courses and trainings on attitude.  It’s literally the base (foundation) for Grant’s fundamental formula for success.  Cardone U drops a “few” bombs on getting the attitude right and keeping it right 24/7. I’m going to give you my favorite 5. Keep in mind, these are daily habits. Motivation and attitude require fuel, like a fire, like a car, like a person. You need to keep the tank topped off or you literally gas out.

5 Attitude Commitments to Make Everyday

  1. I have control over my attitude regardless of my circumstances.
That’s right, you are in control here. No one has power over YOUR attitude. Not the media, not our customers, not the weather, none of that. It’s just us. We have control of our attitude.
  2. I give 110% to my customers.
This is another way of stating The Golden Rule. When you go to buy something (let’s be honest) do you really give a sh*t if your salesperson was running a little late this morning and didn’t get their 3 pump, no foam, vanilla latte? Me neither. I’m looking to have an experience. Your clients deserve the best you possible. So be that. Regardless of what’s going on in your world, because you have control over your attitude, you can decide to give 110% to your clients. Which leads into this…
  3. My attitude is a decision, not a feeling.
The feeling will follow the decision. You don’t have to believe it, but that’s the reality. We choose our attitude. Between the stimulus and the response, you’re making a decision. You’re even choosing how you’re feeling about this post.
  4. I make a decision every day, every hour and every minute to give the buyer a great attitude.
This decision will not always be easy. In fact, there will be times that this decision will be near impossible, have a very high suck factor and go against every instinct you have. As Grant Cardone puts it, “do it anyway!” Part of checking yourself is to make this decision over and over again. When you’re in a shituation (not a type-o) you may need to be making this decision on the minute. We’ve all been there and it’s hard. I get it. We’ve also failed at this. I know I have. And there’s a price to pay that is beyond monetary. The price is you.
  5. I commit 100% to being my best.
Where do you come from? Your body is made up of zillions of microscopic cells. How do they all stay together? How did that miracle, which is you, happen? There’s no one like you anywhere. Which bodes the question; not who do you want to be, but who are you being? The energy and matter that made up the universe, the galaxy, solar system and planet earth is in you too. We are part of that explosion known as The Big Bang. You have unlimited potential. By allowing yourself to operate at anything less than full capacity is selling yourself short of what you’re truly capable of being. All creation starts in the mind. What you create in there you can create here. And that starts with committing and working daily at being your 100% best.

Now What?

Here’s a little home work for you, what if you wrote these 5 commitments out on an index card and read them out loud in the morning in the car on the way to work?  And what if you also said them with passion and conviction?  Then, what if you put that card in your pocket and pulled it out and recited them again every time you catch yourself letting go of your great attitude?  Try this out for the next 21 days and see how much more IN CONTROL of your attitude you become.
