Does the concept of selling consume you?

How do you see selling?  Do you believe selling is something you can learn?  Do you believe that there are specific strategies, techniques and technologies you can master to become great?

The GREAT Salespeople understand that selling can be educated.  It can be learned and taught.

GREAT Salespeople are not born – they’re made.

Selling is not just something that happens to you.  Becoming GREAT at selling actually involves steps, processes, learning and education.

Make a note here, regardless of talent or personality type, selling can be learned and improved upon.

That is the secret to success in selling.  This is how you go from good to GREAT.

CHALLENGE:  This week find ways you can improve in each category and then set a schedule to train through and improve on each one.  Here are the three categories:

  1. Your ability to get known in the marketplace (prospecting)
  2. Your customer interaction skills (fact finding, presenting, follow up)
  3. How effective you are (think closing)

  1. It most certainly is an art. We use words and emotions to paint the most vivid pictures in the mind of our customer. Every syllable is meticulously placed in sentences just as a sculptor carves the fine details in his work. We listen to everyone around us taking bits and pieces (tools) that we keep in a metaphorical tool belt that is always being carried. We mend peoples memories with the future, forging excitement and joy. Every close and delivery has it’s own unique place in the collection but will also bear that trademark signature letting you know who created the masterpiece.
