Why The Middle Class Is A Trap

The middle class.  Is it a trap?  Is it?  Is the Middle Class safe?  Is it real freedom and is the Middle Class still the goal?  What is freedom now, in this day and age?  What if the Middle Class dream turned out to be nothing but lies sold to you to keep you a slave?  In Grant Cardone’s Strategy of the Week for March 11, 2016, Grant tells us that we must get free and distance our self from the middle class.  We will need to take actual risk and we must be committed to greatness.

Average is a failing formula

It’s an entire chapter in The 10X Rule.  “If you want the freedom to make choices, the freedom to do what you want with your life, live where you want, be who you want, the reality is the Middle Class is a trap.  It’s a prison that has been sold as a sanctuary for generations by the government and perpetuated by the media—that is controlled by the government.”

The question you need to answer for yourself is, are you willing to take your own risks?  When Grant was a young man, he found himself standing at the unemployment line.  Fresh out of college and in debt.  At the crossroads, Grant knew that this was not the right place for him, that he had to get out.  It was a risk he had to take.

Are you a taker or a maker?

If someone is a taker rather than a maker, meaning they are dependent on the government for their unemployment checks, it creates a victim mentality. You have to decide for yourself if you want someone to give you a fish, or would you rather learn or be taught how to fish.  The tragedy of this is that it propels a myth in society to those who take the fish.  They are being sold on the idea that they are broken, that they can’t produce, and that they are unable to get the fish on their own.  Sell or Be Sold. Are you sold on your ability to pull yourself up no matter your circumstances?

The risk Grant took and the one you must take as well is this:  if it would be up to anyone, it would be up to me. In 2012, approximately 52.2 million people used government assistance. How high do you think that number is in 2016? Whatever that number is, it’s large. The purpose of this week’s strategy is not to make a political stance on welfare, Obamacare, social security, food stamps, or any other federally funded programs out there.  Grant is only here to claim that the principle of government assistance makes people weaker and ultimately slaves.

The pursuit of happiness requires you to PURSUE.
