EVERYONE IS A BUYER
If you’re like to know the secret to how to turn a shopper into a buyer, you only need to do one main thing. The one thing you need to do is, you need to treat the prospect like a buyer. The secret to turning any shopper into a buyer is to treat everyone like a buyer.
In Grant Cardone’s weekly strategy for October 21, 2016, Grant tells us that one of the biggest errors made by salespeople (especially experienced salespeople) is the supposed magical ability to determine precisely who is and who is not a real buyer. Some salespeople can do this from a hundred yards out! According to your Uncle G, it doesn’t matter what the situation is they told you. Whether it’s no money, no budget, they got tax problems, and they’re not the decision maker, if you treat the buyer like a buyer, they WILL buy from you.
If it’s going to be, it’s up to me.
What you don’t want to do is make them wrong. You also don’t need to talk negative about them. Instead of making decisions about the ability to make a decision, their credit worthiness, income, etc, why not look for signs that they are a buyer. Regardless of what they say, look for evidence that they are buyers. When they start saying they don’t have a budget or that they want to wait Grant will survey the prospect for all the signs that they bought in the past. Maybe he has a watch on, a shirt on, or the house is nice. Grant will collect evidence that they have bought in the past. The evidence demonstrates ability and history of buying and shows that they’re capable of being closed. Every person is a buyer.
